The Cast of Hamilton Brings Some Good News

By on April 7, 2020

John Krasinki started Some Good News Network to share and spread positive news in this era of bleakness. The first episode was a fantastic journey down memory lane for the Jack Ryan star – complete with a Zoom-enabled reunion with his The Office co-star Steve Carrell and a healthy dose of self-deprecating humor. It left us all feeling good in the face of a global pandemic.

But nothing could have prepared us for the second episode, during which Mr. Krasinki not only shared lots of good news but made a young girl’s dream come true by providing her with her very own Broadway show.

Nine-year-old Aubrey Bauman’s plans to go and see Hamilton were postponed because of the global coronavirus shelter in place order. Her mother shared on social media that her daughter had settled to watch Mary Poppins Returns which stars Mr. Krasinki’s wife – the delightful Emily Blunt. During the show,  the couple commiserate with Aubrey, promising to fly her to NYC to see the show when the period of self-isolation is over. Then, Lin-Manuel Miranda (who also stars with Ms. Blunt in Mary Poppins) joins the call and tells Aubrey that he can probably do something a little better. The result is pure musical theater magic and the sort of good news we need right now.
