Coming to Netflix in April 2020

So, it is likely that we will be home for quite a bit longer with some Netflix shows and movies to keep us company, among other things. Here is what to expect in April as far as movies are concerned:

April 3:

Coffee & Kareem: Starring Ed Helms (The Hangover trilogy) and Taraji P. Henson (Empire).

Money Heist: The Phenomenon is a Netflix original series from Spain which tells the story of a bunch of thieves.

April 10:

School Life: A school counselor working in one of the poorest quartiers in Paris strives to improve the lives of her disadvantaged students while dealing with her own personal crises.

Love Wedding Repeat: This English remake of a French romantic comedy stars Sam Claflin (Me Before You) as a man trying to give his sister the perfect wedding while dealing with a myriad of issues.

The Main Event: An 11-year-old discovers that he has super-human strength when he puts on a magical wrestling mask.

Tigertail: Veteran actor Tzi Ma (The Man in the High Castle) stars a Pin-Jui, a New Yorker  who narrates his previous life in Taiwan to his daughter.

April 17:

Concrete Gold: Netflix’s first original German movie tells the tale of all that accompanies the meteoric rise of two real-estate moguls in Germany and all that accompanies it.

Earth and Gold: In this French thriller, a man and his teenage daughter are pursued by a cartel when a drug dealer leaves stolen cocaine on their property.

The Legacy of the Bones: Following up from 2017’s The Invisible Guardian, homicide inspector Amaia Salazar investigates a suicide in this Spanish thriller.

Sergio: The true story of Brazilian-born UN diplomat Sérgio Vieira de Mello.

April 22

The Swamp’s Silence: In this Spanish thriller, a crime novelist becomes entangled in a kidnapping involving politicians and the local mafia.

The Plagues of Breslau: Set in Poland, policewoman Helena Rus rushes to catch a serial killer who claims a new victim every evening at six o’clock.

The Willoughbys: With one of the characters voiced by Alessia Cara (who introduces April’s line up in the video below), the story is adapted from a book of the same name by acclaimed author Lois Lowry.

April 24

Extraction: Chris Hemsworth (The Avengers) stars as a mercenary hired to rescue the imprisoned son of a crime lord.

April 30

Dangerous Lies: Camila Mendes (Riverdale) is a waitress who after working as a caretaker to a wealthy elderly man becomes the beneficiary of his estate after he passes away.

Rich in Love: A privileged young man’s attempt to prove a point to his father take an interesting turn when he begins a relationship with a woman who believes he grew up poor.
