Jola Naibi

Writer and amateur photog. I seek to inspire and inform with the words I write and share and the photos I take. I have written a book of short stories: Terra Cotta Beauty, and I am working on a lot more. Reading and writing fuel my energy. In reading, I explore this vast and diverse world, in writing, I employ my over-active imagination and address the 'what-if' questions that life often throws at us.

The Curious Iguana

By on July 13, 2015

I self-published my book and it was an enjoyable experience – an adventure of sorts. I am a writer, I write. Publishing is a niche that I had never actually thought I would be a part of and the self-publishing adventure is one that I enjoyed and highly recommend to the intrepid writer. With CreateSpace you get a whole range of marketing options which help you sell your book in this virtual world that we live in. While I have to admit, I get many of my books on Amazon these days, I was not complaining when it was the first place that I started selling my book.

I wanted it to be available in Nigeria and was able to get that taken care of easily with the folks at Patabah Books which where my book is exclusively available for sale. The US bookstores was another story. I really did not want to start with the big chain bookstores and wanted to go to a local independent book seller and my determination to do this, led me to do some research and that is when I came across The Curious Iguana. Now will be a good place to add that ‘curiosity led me to the Curious Iguana‘.

So long story short, Terra Cotta Beauty is now available at the Curious Iguana. Here is an interview with Marlene England the delightful co-owner.
