Jola Naibi

Writer and amateur photog. I seek to inspire and inform with the words I write and share and the photos I take. I have written a book of short stories: Terra Cotta Beauty, and I am working on a lot more. Reading and writing fuel my energy. In reading, I explore this vast and diverse world, in writing, I employ my over-active imagination and address the 'what-if' questions that life often throws at us.

Same Streets, Different Lives: Zadie is Back!

By on September 18, 2012

Zadie Smith first captured my attention with “White Teeth” and then she wrote “On Beauty” and then she went away for 7 years, leaving us yearning for more. Now, she is back with the colorful yet simply titled NW (North-West London).

More magazine’s Alice LaPlante describes it as “an astonishing and eloquent novel that is by turns funny and heartbreaking, with flights of language and emotional insight so true, so honest, it makes us forget that we waited seven years”.
